Recreation Center

The University of North Carolina at Wilmington provides to its students a place where they can stay in shape while they are on campus. The rec center is a vital part of campus. Located near Wagoner Dining Hall, the Rec Center is frequented by hundreds of students every day. A massive renovation is currently taking place on the building. The expansions that are taking place will make UNCW's Rec Center one of the best on the East Coast.
The Center is more than tripling its size and adding a ton of new features for the use of the students. Two pools are being built, one indoor and one outdoor for the hot early fall and spring months. Also rooms for specific types of physical activities are being created such as rooms for P90X work outs and other professionally led work outs.
The entire campus is very excited for what the new and improved rec center will provide for the students and faculty of UNCW.
