Tips to Make the Most Of College

To have the best college experience follow the 10 tips below:

1. Grades: Do your homework. The extra points add up.
2. Food: There are multiple dining halls on campus. Remember that they are meant to feed a large mass of people and this is not a five star restaurant. When grabbing food, go out of your comfort zone. There is always something tasty. This being said, don't be afraid to order take out every once in a while.
3. Outgoing: Don't be afraid to make the first move to hang out with people. Somebody has to start the group message!
4. Campus Involvement: Join clubs.
5. Parties: Always have a DD. Make sure it's someone you trust to stay sober. This is the most affordable option; cabs are expensive!!
6. Location: Make sure to experience where your living. There are some fun tourist attractions everywhere. Plan a goofy day with your friends to experience the town.
7. Amenities: Use the Career Center, tutoring options, CARE office, SI sessions, library, Movie theater… They are there for you!
8. Exercise: Use the gym. This is a stressful, but fun time. Exercising will give you time to get a clear head.
9. Classes: Pick classes that interest you, but pick smart. You have four years to graduate. Pick things that go towards credits you need. Don't forget no matter what you think of the class, your performance goes on your transcript and effects your GPA.
10. Lastly, and the most important: Remember you can't continue the college lifestyle if you get kicked out… so get good grades, behave yourself, and don't be stupid, but have fun!
